Newsletters
Newsletters enable us to regularly inform employees and external target groups of current developments in subsidiaries with Daimler as part of their company name. They can be a stand-alone source of information or a complement to other media. Newsletters are a formally clearly structured communication medium, made available to the target group in printed form or online.

The header includes the name of the newsletter in white; the height of the brushed silver area is 1/6 of the format height and has an inclination angle of 10°. The title of the newsletter is made up of composite terms and is placed on one line in a combination of Daimler CS Regular and Bold. Part of the name is in capitals; the font sizeFont Size
The unit of measurement for the font size is the point (pt). of the newsletter is 55 pt. If needed, a sub-line can be placed under the newsletter name. It includes 1 or 2 lines printed in Daimler CS Regular in 9 pt (4 mm) in white.

Below the header, you will find the content area of the newsletter. The layout is based on the design grid for brochures. The text is based on the baseline gridBaseline Grid
This divides the page using horizontal lines to which the text and image elements are aligned. with 2 mm spacing and a column grid within the type area. Images and text can be freely positioned within the prescribed columns. Please note that all elements are classified within the type area. The editorial and info boxes have a Light Grey background.
The information content of the newsletter is set in Daimler CS Regular or Bold throughout, using mixed typefaces. The copy text is always left-aligned.

Typographical Elements
Running Titles
Running titles are set in Daimler CS Regular in 9 pt. The newsletter name is left-aligned in the type area; the issue and publication date are right-aligned in black.
Headline
Headlines are left-aligned in Daimler CS Regular in 24 pt (10 mm) or 30 pt (12 mm) in black.
Introduction
Introduction texts are set in Daimler CS Regular in 14 pt (6 mm). They are left-aligned in black.
Text Copy
Text copy is in Daimler CS Regular in 9 pt (4 mm), left-aligned in black.
Image Caption
Image captions are set in Daimler CS Bold in 7.5 pt (3 mm) left-aligned in black. Only the first line is aligned with the baseline grid.
Quotation
This text form is the only one created in Daimler CA Regular or Daimler CS Regular and thus stands out significantly. Quotations are set in 18 pt (8 mm) in black.
Marginal Notes
Marginal notes can be printed in Daimler CS Regular or Bold. The font size is 9 pt (4 mm); marginal notes can be in black or Petrol.
Sub-Headline
Sub-headlines are set left-aligned in Daimler CS Bold in 9 pt (4 mm) in black.
Info Box
Headlines in the info boxInfo Box
Important additional information can be displayed inside a box colored in Light Grey (100%) at ... are in Daimler CS Regular 14 pt (6 mm), copy text is in Daimler CS Regular 9 pt (4 mm). Texts in info boxes are left-aligned in black. The background in info boxes is set to Light Grey. Typography is set with an outside margin of 4 mm. Info boxes are not placed on images.
Emphasis
Emphasis can be added to content either by using the Daimler CS Bold typeface or by selecting Petrol as the font color; font size is 9 pt (4 mm).
All typographical elements used in brochure design can also be used for newsletters.
