Text Inserts

The core statements of the film or video can be visualized through text inserts, which can be placed to the left or right of the screen depending on the content of the image. Care must be taken to ensure that text inserts do not obscure products, persons or other central film content. Text inserts are to be created in white with 90% opacity.

All texts are to be left-justified and set in Daimler CS Regular. Single-line text in text inserts will be rendered in 170 px; two-line text will be rendered in 110 px (video format: UHD 3840 x 2160 pixels). The line spacingLine Spacing

; margin distance is 1/2 x capital height.

Core messages of the film or video can be expressed through text inserts.

Text inserts are transparent, white or anthracite with 90% opacity and should be placed over the image such that no products or persons are covered.

Subheadings/Subtitles

Subheadings are to be employed in the separations between film segments and/or for the structuring. They should be created either full-screen with a brushed silver surface area, or in white. Text is to be centered on the brushed surface area in white, or in black on a white background. With consideration of the amount of text, the font size should be set at 170 px, in the Daimler CS Regular typeface.

Statements on silver subheadings are rendered in white in the Daimler CS typeface. They can also be white with black text.

Subtitles can be superimposed on a film or video, for example in order to translate spoken content from a foreign language. These are generally placed on the lower margin of the image and set in Daimler CS Regular in 110 px. Subtitles are to be displayed in white, with a light contour-shadow so that they can still be read clearly on a light background.

Subtitles for film or video are displayed in white with a black contour-shadow.

Subtitles can also be combined with text inserts or superimposed captions.

Superimposed Captions

White superimposed captions are to be placed left-justified in the image's lower margin, such that the person in the frame is not obscured. The opacity should range from 90% to 0%. Text-relevant areas should be underlaid with at least 50% opacity. The exact level is dependent on the lightness and texture of the background. All texts are to be set in Daimler CS Regular in Black. The first line should contain the name of the person being interviewed in 110 px. The second line should show their corporate affiliation, function or area of responsibility, set in 60 px with a distance of 110 px from the first line.

Superimposed captions should be placed such that they do not obscure the person being interviewed.
