Daimler Brand & Design Navigator will be terminated on 30 June 2024. After this date, Mercedes-Benz Brand Design System (BDS) will remain the central platform for all guidelines and assets related to the visual brand identify of Mercedes-Benz – including both corporate and product communications as well as associated sub-brands or subsidiaries.
There are essentially two kinds of third-party advertising: design imitation (“passing off”) and exploitation of another's reputation. Competitors who take advantage of the good reputation of subsidiaries bearing Daimler as part of their company name instead of advertising their own products on their own merits are flouting the rules of performance-based competition.
